We strongly oppose the suggestions and false allegations contained herein, inciting violence and harm against our team members, incompatible with the principles of a democratic society and objective journalism.
The health, safety and well-being of our team members has always been and continue to be a main priority of the company. We express our unreserved support to each one of them and will provide all resources to preserve their physical and mental health.
Necessary legal action has already been taken against the spreaders of the mentioned false claims. We consider it unacceptable and highly immoral to use our team members’ personal social media accounts without their permission. By doing so, BIRD endangers their lives and health, their dignity is undermined, as well as their contribution to our company and society.
TELUS International is a publicly-traded company of which TELUS, a leading Canadian telecom, owns the majority stake. The company is an established provider of business process outsourcing services with over 70,000 employees globally. In Bulgaria, it serves over 50 clients and is the largest employer in the sector with more than 4,500 employees. These are people with different expertise, among whom there are both students for whom this is their first job and professionals with many years of experience.
We also strongly oppose any suggestion of involvement in illegal activities or links with political parties. Publishing false claims on the Internet without backing them with clear facts and verified information strongly contradicts the ethical principles of journalism.
