The new members of the AIBEST Management Board are Ivan Georgiev, Co-Founder and CEO of Pontica Solutions, Ivelina Nikolova, Technology Services Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise GDBC and Michaela Lashova, Managing Partner of Cushman & Wakefield Forton.
At its first meeting, the new Management Board re-elected Ilia Krustev as Chairman of the Association and confirmed the strategic priorities to focus its work in the next two years. The main task of the Board will be the positioning of Bulgaria and the region as a hub for high value-added services through innovation, development of technological products, modern business services and solutions.
The setup of appropriate business conditions for the development of the sector, the retention and return of Bulgarian talents in our country and the attraction of new investments in the "knowledge industry", the safe return of employees to offices are among the AIBEST priorities. The development of a good partnership with local authorities and the building of a common strategy for the growth of the sector at the national level are also among the tasks of the new Management Board.
In corroboration of this commitment, AIBEST (until recently known as the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association) annually chooses a location outside Sofia for conduction its annual conference. This year the event will take place in Burgas on October 2.
The high value-added business services sector in Bulgaria last year will be analyzed within the conference, a forecast about the impact of the global pandemic on it in 2020 will be made and the direction of industry development will be outlined. The factors and measures that must be taken at local and national level to attract new investments and to create a favorable business environment for the development of the sector, which according to the latest data forms 5.2% of the country's GDP, will also be discussed.

The annual AIBEST excellence awards will also be presented during the forum. They will recognize the best performing companies in the country, good practices in the sector, the proactivity of local authorities and the cooperation among the participants in the entire business ecosystem that contributes to its development. The awards will be presented in 7 categories – “Employer of the Year”, “IT/ITO Company of the Year”, “BPO Company of the Year”, “Innovation of the Year”, “Project of the Year”, “The Best CSR Policy”, “The Best Business Sustainability Strategy in Crises”.
