The business sector looking for young talents attracts record interest in Veliko Tarnovo

The AIBEST Roadshow "The Road to Your Success" kicked off at the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and the "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" University

04/17/2024, Veliko Tarnovo, Top managers from reputable companies in the outsourcing and the technology industries organized a forum for the career development of students and pupils from Veliko Tarnovo. The event is the first stop of the national roadshow "The Road to Your Success", which the Association of Innovation, Business Services and Technology (AIBEST) has implemented for the third year in a row.

The meeting, which presents the opportunities for career guidance of young talents, is a tripartite partnership between businesses, the academic community and the local government, represented respectively by AIBEST, Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" and the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo.

Two round table discussions took place in the Municipality building - one with local government, the other with the university and schools, reflecting the multitude of topics in which business can be actively involved in the development of the region and local education. The roadshow continued with a meeting with students and high schoolers.

As in its previous editions, the roadshow in Veliko Tarnovo generated vast interest among students, who actively participated in the discussion with managers, members of AIBEST. Some of the inspiring stories about the road to success were presented by executives from the companies Pontica Solutions, EXL, Sutherland Bulgaria, Experian Bulgaria, DIGITALL and Updata One.

At the meeting with the local authority, the members of the Association also discussed the possibilities of attracting more companies from the outsourcing industry to the city. The plan is to support the development of a sustainable economy in the regions, which would ensure good corporate growth of young people at international companies, while working from Veliko Tarnovo.

Business representatives pointed out that working from anywhere in the world has long been an option in the BPO and IT industry and location does not determine success. Everyone, who has talent and a desire to learn, has a chance to fit into various professions and take promising career paths.

"The path to success is as much about good education and preparation as it is about knowing where to go next. The sooner young people take a career path and define the area in which they would be useful to themselves, business and society, the faster they will achieve the success they are aiming for. We look forward to these meetings with young talents, because their usefulness is two-sided - we have something to say about the business from the inside and at the same time we find motivated young people who can one day be part of our teams", commented AIBEST’s CEO Natalia Shishkova - Georgieva.

The next stop of the national roadshow is the Municipality of Burgas on April 24, where interest in the event is traditionally high. So far, the joint forums for education and business, supported by local authorities, have also been hosted by the Thracian University in Stara Zagora and the American University in Blagoevgrad. The organizers plan to expand the scope of the initiative to include cities such as Ruse, Plovdiv and Varna.
