Nora Ishkova is the new executive director of the Association for Innovation, Business Excellence, Services and Technology

September 17, 2021 - Nora Ishkova is the new executive director of the Association for Innovation, Business Excellence, Services and Technology (AIBEST) in Bulgaria. She takes office in September 2021.

"The business services and technology sector continues to grow and is a driving force for innovation in the country. Our industry, known as the Knowledge Industry, is represented by over 80,000employees in Bulgaria and has a double-digit growth in recent years, forming over 5% of GDP. AIBEST has the ambition to continue to be the engine of the Bulgarian economy through several strategic priorities. Among them are the establishment of successful partnerships with state institutions and local municipalities, the retention and return of Bulgarian talents in the country, attracting new investment in the industry, and establishing a sustainable ecosystem in Southeast Europe. We will develop these strategic priorities together with Nora in her new role,"commented Iliya Krastev, Chairman of the Board of AIBEST.

Nora has over 20 years of experience in business development and management in international IT companies across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. She has held senior positions in 3Com, D-Link, Avaya, Unify/ATOS, where she was Vice President of Distribution for Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Russia, and Asia. In the past year, she has been involved in the acquisition of Brightive professional outsourced centre for consulting services in Sofia by the leading management consulting firm BARINGA Partners, UK.

Nora Ishkova has a master's degree in International Relations from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia.She has completed the Advanced Management Program at IESE Barcelona, ​​a joint program with Harvard Business school, in 2018.
