Empowering Talent Through Personal Development
SoftServe University provides a diverse range of development opportunities for associates, supporting both professional and personal growth. In 2024, the company continued educational support in the business domain and technological competencies, and expanded its focus on cultural intelligence, well-being, and soft skills (key factors in global collaboration and business success). Leadership Development plays a pivotal role in this journey as well-prepared leaders become essential for driving transformation in times of uncertainty and rapid change.
Soft skills development — recognized as essential “power skills”— saw a 22.3% year-over-year increase in students. The Talk, SoftServe’s public speaking platform, continued to help associates refine their presentation skills. The Cross-Cultural Communications program empowered associates to enhance a global mindset and understanding of different cultural backgrounds, with 66% completing Cultural Intelligence training. The Communication Consultants Team helped multicultural teams reduce onboarding time and improve collaboration with clients, reaching full performance 20% faster through tailored communication and cultural awareness programs.
SoftServe University also delivered 1,291 language-learning solutions in English, German, Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish and Italian, including tailored courses on pronunciation, language coaching and speaking clubs to strengthen engagement and teamwork.
In 2024, SoftServe reinforced its leadership in cloud and data technology through strategic certification initiatives and industry recognition. A total of 915 certifications were obtained by SoftServe’s associates, including advanced credentials in Databricks, GitHub, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft. Notably, SoftServe was named the 2024 Google Cloud Talent Development Partner of the Yearfor EMEA, recognizing its commitment to cloud upskilling and its innovative Google Cloud Certification Challenge, which also supported humanitarian aid through the Open Eyes charity.
Enhancing a Knowledge-Sharing Culture
The report goes on to show how SoftServe fosters a strong learning culture with nearly 24% of associates participating in the Global Educators’ Community unites more than 2,500 participants, including mentors, job-shadowing hosts, speakers, trainers, subject matter experts, and “iTeachers,” that fostered knowledge-sharing internally and with external audiences. These participation efforts garnered significant support across the organization — for example, three new mentorship connections were established every working day in 2024.
The company recognized and invested in its educators by offering dedicated development initiatives like the “Train the Trainer” program and #ENGAGEDUCATE conference last year. Overall, nearly 32% of Global Educators’ Community members advanced their careers through promotions or role transitions, highlighting the strong connection between teaching engagement and professional growth.
To create inclusive and equitable learning experiences for all learners, SoftServe University enhanced its compliance training in 2024 by aligning with international accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
SoftServe Academy: Junior Talents and External Learning
SoftServe continues to invest in the next generation of IT professionals through SoftServe Academy that offers practical training, upskilling, retraining, internships and engages new talents through cooperation with universities. Last year, more than 6,000 learners graduated from the Academy’s courses.
In 2024, SoftServe collaborated with 95 universities in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Colombia, Mexico, and Chile. Through tech hackathons, office tours, and joint curriculum development with academia, the company engaged over 30,000 students — bridging the gap between academic training and industry demands.
The company also expanded its support for the academic ecosystem, launching the first teachers’ communities in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, and Chile alongside the global EDUPRO program for educators. The worldwide teachers’ community grew to 6,900 members, a 14% increase from the previous year.
AI Expertise
To deepen internal Gen AI expertise, SoftServe University collaborated closely with SoftServe’ experts in AI and Data Science, creating over 53 self-paced learning offers for different proficiency levels. Tailored AI & Gen AI curriculums helped quality management, business analysts, technical communicators and project management teams to integrate Gen AI into their workflows, enhancing efficiency.
In 2024, the university together with the Gen AI community hosted a two-week Gen AI Days that included live sessions, workshops, and masterclasses focused on real-world AI adoption. Regular meet-ups bring together the Gen AI Technical Excellence Community to explore and integrate Gen AI tools into the Software Development Lifecycle.
NVIDIA Strategic Learning Initiatives
SoftServe University continued to advance AI expertise through a deepened L&D partnership with NVIDIA, which introduced custom technical curricula and curated learning playlists focused on NVIDIA AI technologies. This included online sessions featuring speakers from both companies in the NVIDIA Future Tech Series, attracting 700 total attendees.
A key achievement was a joint effort with NVIDIA and our contribution to the creation of four NVidia certifications: Generative AI LLM Associate, Generative AI Multimodal Associate, AI Infrastructure Professional, and AI Operations Professional. These programs were designed to validate advanced technical skills in the most in-demand areas of AI and Gen AI. SoftServe experts were the first to earn these certifications globally, demonstrating our leadership in AI education and readiness to deliver at the forefront of innovation.
