AIBEST Tech Academy 2026: Students from Pravets Developed Functional Software Systems
The AIBEST Tech Academy concluded successfully with a final ceremony at Planet Schwarz Tech Theater, Sofia.
Over the course of three weeks, nearly 30 students from the National Professional High School for System and Computer Technologies (UKTC) in Pravets, supported by mentors from leading technology companies, developed fully functional School Inventory Management Systems. All teams presented working demos, allowing the jury to register in real time, submit requests, and track available equipment within the systems.
The noticeable progress compared to last year - both in technical skills and teamwork - is a clear sign that the initiative creates real value and prepares students for the professional environment.
The competition was highly competitive, and the projects were evaluated by a jury consisting of Tsveti Kyoseva (Methodia), Dimitar Ivanov (Schwarz Digits Bulgaria), Boryana Dzhoneva (SoftServe), Tihomir Tomov (Raisen AI), Eng. Krasimir Iliev (National Professional High School for System and Computer Technologies (UKTC)), and Vesela Karayaneva (Ministry of Education and Science, Bulgaria).
Congratulations to the winners “Vecna” and the runners-up “Gus Fring”! Participants also received a congratulatory address from the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Dr. Emilia Lazarova.
Special thanks to the hosts at Planet Schwarz Tech Theater, as well as to BASSCOM and partner companies Experian, Schwarz Digits Bulgaria, DIGITALL, and SoftServe for their joint efforts in supporting the next generation of tech talent.
