AIBEST's National Roadshow attracts great interest

The first stage of the national roadshow Drivers of Success of the Association for Innovation, Business Excellence, Services and Technology (AIBEST) attracted great interest in all the cities we visited. Within two weeks we visited Veliko Tarnovo, Blagoevgrad, and Stara Zagora. AIBEST will continue its national tour in other cities with the potential for the development of high-tech business in the fall. The roadshow was attended by 12 members of AIBEST - A Data Pro, Alorica, Cargotec, Experian, HP, Ingram Micro, KBC, Telus, Pontica Solutions, Proxiad, ScaleFocus, and Sutherland.

"Our initiative aims to promote the opportunities provided by the business services and technology sector for the career development of young people in our country and the potential for growth that we can provide to local economies. We met great support for our mission from all universities and local authorities and I believe that this was the first step towards a successful and long-term partnership that will lead to regional expansion of our industry, "said Iliya Krastev, Chairman of the Board.

The national roadshow started in Veliko Tarnovo on March 24, where AIBEST representatives met with the mayor of the city Daniel Panov and his team. The measures that need to be taken at the local level to create appropriate conditions for attracting more companies from the knowledge industry were discussed. The Rector of the University of Veliko Tarnovo opened the meeting of high-tech business with students, which presented good opportunities for the career development of young people in the city.

On March 29, during our visit to Blagoevgrad, we took an active part in the forum "Investments and Innovations in Blagoevgrad". During the event, the executive directors of the AIBEST members who joined the roadshow gave recommendations and discussed with Daniel Laurer, Minister of Innovation and Growth, and Ilko Stoyanov, Mayor of the city, the necessary measures to be taken at the national and local level to improve the conditions for the development of the knowledge industry and the retained talents in the country. Career opportunities in our sector were presented to students at the American University in the city.

The last stop of our national roadshow was in Stara Zagora, as a continuation of the dialogue started last year between the Association and local authorities for the regional expansion of our sector in the city. We met with students from the Thracian University and high school graduates in the city and presented opportunities for development in our industry.
