The SEE Sourcing Industry Report 2024 encompasses 2,293 companies from 11 countries in Southeast Europe across all sourcing segments and sub-segments.

dominate the SEE sourcing industry, with Bucharest and Sofia housing 43% of the region’s vendors.
Emerging hubs like
Cluj-Napoca
(Romania) and
Novi Sad
(Serbia) are growing beyond traditional capitals.
Foreign ownership
plays a significant role, with 48% of vendors in SEE owned by investors from 63 countries.
Germany, the USA, the UK,
and
the Netherlands
are the leading investors, holding 42% of foreign-owned companies, mostly in ITO.
The
sourcing sector
generated EUR 17.1 billion in revenue in 2023, with Romania leading at EUR 7.9 billion, followed by Bulgaria at EUR 5.4 billion.
Despite a small decline in
employment
, the sector earned EUR 1.4 billion in net profit.
Labor costs
rose by 15% annually in the last five years, but growth slowed in 2023, indicating potential recalibration.
