The international digital consulting company SoftServe won an award in the "Companies" category from the "Heroes-2023" Annual Awards of the largest volunteering platform in Bulgaria - Time Heroes.
With an official ceremony on April 18, Time Heroes held the seventh edition of the annual HEROES Awards – recognizing the people and organizations with outstanding contributions to the development of the volunteer culture in Bulgaria in 2023. SoftServe has been awarded for the development of professional (pro bono) volunteering with the OpenTech platform, which gathers hundreds of volunteers: programmers, project managers and leaders of teams, with professional technical skills to support various causes.
In 2022-2023, the company’s volunteers donated over 7,672 employees hours to support education by improving the digital educational platform prepodavame.bg, lending a hand to the NGO "Teach for Bulgaria". Also, since February 2023, SoftServe employees are developing a website of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation to promote an active lifestyle among young people, in which they have invested over 8700 employees hours.
In parallel with these efforts, the team also works in the direction of helping the environment with the SoftServe Forest initiative, sustainably caring for a tree section in Vitosha mountain. In addition, the company develops the EmpowerU program, which provides access to free IT courses and learning resources for people from different social and minority groups.
For its consistent efforts to support the pro bono volunteering, SoftServe receives an award for the development of professional volunteering.
