The company’s latest CSR initiative focused on improving the outdoor spaces of educational institutions in Sofia, Varna, and Burgas
On April 26th, Pontica Solutions held its annual Community Day that brought together employees and students across Sofia, Varna, and Burgas to revitalise the outdoor spaces of key educational institutions, reflecting Pontica’s long-term dedication to youth empowerment and environmental responsibility.
The initiative is part of the company’s broader #wesupporttheYOUNG and #wesupportthePLANET pillars and exemplifies how collaboration between business and local communities can drive meaningful change.
In Sofia, representatives of the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University and Pontica team members worked side by side to repaint the main campus alley and signage, cleaned the surrounding area, and planted flowers to enhance the environment. Denimir Dimitrov, CEO and founder of Zero Wave, also joined the initiative and spoke to participants about sustainable living - highlighting practical ways to reduce emissions, embrace composting, and adopt conscious reuse and recycling practices.
In Varna, the event took place at the University of Economics, where volunteers from Pontica and the university refreshed the perimeter fence with a fresh coat of paint. The day also featured a talk by Nikolay Tanchev, environmental activist and founder of the Geya Foundation, who shared insights on integrating sustainability into daily life.
In Burgas, participants gathered at the French Language High School "G. S. Rakovski" to clean and repaint outdoor benches, helping to create a more welcoming space for the school community.
This initiative reflects Pontica’s belief that even small-scale actions can spark meaningful change. The company is dedicated to building lasting partnerships with educational institutions and supporting youth development and environmental sustainability through consistent engagement.
