From June 1 to 5, 2026, Sofia will host the sixth edition of the Green Transition Forum – one of Europe’s leading platforms for dialogue between institutions, business leaders, investors, and innovators focused on the future of Europe’s economy.
Held at the Sofia Event Center, the forum will gather the professional community actively shaping transformation across energy, industry, transport, defense, finance, innovation, and technology.
Over the years, the forum has welcomed 20,000+ participants, 1,200+ speakers, and representatives from 40 countries, becoming a key space for strategic dialogue, partnerships, and new ideas.

Day 1 | Competitiveness, Energy & Transport
Focus on energy security, renewable and nuclear energy, hydrogen, mobility, infrastructure, and strategic transport corridors.
Day 2 | Regulation, Defense & Cybersecurity
Discussions on regulation, cybersecurity, defense industries, SMEs, and EU enlargement with a focus on the Western Balkans.
Day 3 | Decarbonization, Finance & Circular Economy
Topics include industrial decarbonization, CBAM and ETS mechanisms, green financing, and circular economy solutions.
Special participation by Philippe Aghion and a public lecture by Mo Gawdat on the future skills needed in the AI era.
Day 4 | Regions, Cities & Blue Economy
Dedicated to sustainable regional development, water security, climate adaptation, and the blue economy.
Day 5 | Innovation, AI & Future Growth
Featuring Enrico Letta and Ekaterina Zaharieva, with discussions on AI, innovation ecosystems, startup growth, and Europe’s competitiveness.
A key highlight will be the invitation-only discussion “How Europe Can Win”, concluding with the signing of the Sofia Initiative focused on strengthening the competitiveness of Central and Eastern Europe.
