Cargotec Bulgaria EOOD, the Bulgarian unit of Finnish Cargotec, a global provider of products and services for smart cargo flow, was awarded Class A Investor Certificate from the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy.
The company was awarded the certificate for the expansion of its Cargotec Business Services Center in Sofia with an investment worth over one million leva. Cargotec opened 172 new jobs in the past year bringing the total number of employees in Bulgaria to 350. On January 30 at a special ceremony Nikolay Jeliazov, Cargotec Business Services Finance Manager, accepted the certificate by the Deputy Minister of Economy Lachezar Borissov.

Cargotec Business Services (CBS) was established in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2017 to provide Finance, Human Resources and Indirect Procurement services to Cargotec’s global businesses. Today, 70% of all Cargotec employees globally are using CBS services and more than 70% of Cargotec’s revenue lies within the CBS scope. In addition to the main location in Sofia, CBS has newly established hubs in Perrysburg, the USA and Singapore and throughout 2020 will continue with the roll-out of the CBS concept to the APAC region.
