We invited Martin Dimitrov – Attorney at Law Firm Tzvetkova & Partners, to discuss what we need to know before the provisions of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council are transposed into national law.

Every organization from the private sector employing more than 50 people is bound to implement the Directive. The new Whistleblower directive will come into force on 17 December 2021.

2020 was another year of growth for the technology and business services industry in Bulgaria. Our sector was among the few growing ones during the pandemic and boosted its contribution to Bulgaria's real GDP by 6.6% in 2020, or EUR 3.3 bln.

Furthermore, our industry reinforced its position of the preferred employer, which is evidenced by the increasing employee costs and taxes paid by the companies.
